Psalm 2

Verses 2, 4, 12b...

The kings of the earth set themselves,
   and the rulers take counsel together,
   against the Lord, and against His Anointed...
[but] He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh:
   the Lord shall have them in derision...
Blessed are all they that put their trust in Him.

Thankful that we have a King whose victory over sin, death, and evil is certain and unassailable. "My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness!"
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
