I stumbled across this poem (hymn, perhaps) by Fanny Crosby, and it encouraged my heart this evening. May it do the same for you...
If He, my Lord, is with me still,
And I in Him abide,
If he but whisper to my heart,
Then I am satisfied.
Through pastures green, or shadows deep,
With Him my constant guide,
If step by step He leads me on,
Then I am satisfied.
And though at times the things I ask
In love are oft denied,
I know He gives me what is best,
And I am satisfied.
From Him my soul, in life or death,
No power shall e'er divide,
I read the promise in His Word,
