I’m old-fashioned, I love the moonlight,
I love the old-fashioned things...
The sound of rain upon a window pane,
The starry song that April sings.
This years fancies are passing fancies;
But sighing sighs, holding hands...
These my heart understands
I’m old-fashioned, but I don’t mind it;
That’s how I want to be...
As long as you agree
To stay old-fashioned with me.
I love the old-fashioned things...
The sound of rain upon a window pane,
The starry song that April sings.
This years fancies are passing fancies;
But sighing sighs, holding hands...
These my heart understands
I’m old-fashioned, but I don’t mind it;
That’s how I want to be...
As long as you agree
To stay old-fashioned with me.
I love simple pleasures, like a fire in the fireplace or a fragrant candle. I love hats, thunderstorms, and sitting on a porch swing with a good book. I love a leisurely drive through the countryside, or a stroll down a quaint city street. I use technology carefully, never allowing it to master me. Yes, I own a cell phone, but not an iPhone. I don't live with earbuds in my ears, but yes, I have a little iPod nano for my runs around the lake. I have a few favorite TV shows, but I don't currently own a television. Yes, I own a Kindle, but I prefer a beautifully bound book.
My dear one, I want to enjoy the simple things with you! I want to admire your chivalry, and treat you like my prince.
Waiting,
Me
